Fun Time At Orlando Pride

#hurricainleonard (Warning Long Post) What an epic trip and one for the history books. We started this adventure as a hurricane michael was getting ready to make landfall in the panhandle of Florida. To everyone that voiced your concerns and love thank you and all of your prayers keep us out of harms way and not to mention we didn’t drive into the eye of the storm. We had just a little rain on the way to our over night stop in Macon, GA. Which was an eventful night with the fire alarm going off every 30 seconds at 2AM. They moved us to the hotel behind where we were staying. LOL Can’t make this stuff up. No rain the rest of the way to Orlando. Had a great Thursday evening at the Orlando Come Out With Pride Launch Party. Which was held out doors and I’m dressed in a long sleeve black shirt and jeans. Can we say I was about to burn up. Having adult beverage was a good way to stay cool. Friday, morning I had to go find some short sleeve shirts. While we were out Friday we stopped at the Pulse Memorial. Such a beautiful and emotional tribute to the 49 souls lost on June 12, 2016
Later Friday we ventured across the state to Dayton Beach and went to Harbor Town Tike were we had a couple of lovely margaritas before joining friends for dinner. Headed back to Orlando to join the Stonewall Block Party where a lovely mix of people were dancing the night away. Saturday, was the day for Orlando Pride. WOW, the group that organized this event should be very proud. They were all friendly and helpful. The crowd was HUGH, not sure what their numbers were as to how many attended, they had a very big crowd. As for Pride411 we had 212 people become a part of the Pride411 community. One thing is certain this number could not have been reach by one person alone. I’m very grateful for my travel warrior and chief instigator LOL Ginger Leonard for all her help as well as Melinda McSparrin who ran the cornhole contest. It helps if you have a cute half naked guy handing our postcard for you. Thank you David Wayne Dahlquist II. Special thank you to Cyndi Mendezfor joining us Thursday evening for the Launch Party and Saturday for making sure we stayed hydrated, bringing the fan to keep us cool, jumpped in to help getting people signed up and helping to break everything down. After a lovely brunch yesterday we headed back to Memphis via a winery, distillery a mexican restaurant and listened (Sang) broadway show tunes and made it home around 1am. With such a great time and a warm welcome we will be back Orlando #KeepDancingOrlando #JesusLovesEverybody
